Influence of Seismic Loads Considering Soil Properties and Wave Passage Effect on the Seismic Response of a Multi-Span PSC Girder Bridge

This paper investigates the analytical results of seismic response multi-span prestressed concrete (PSC) I-girder bridges under loads. To perform numerical analyses, a three-span PSC bridge with width 12 m, total length 100 and maximum span 40 m was modeled, virtual location selected to consider soil properties area where constructed. The load acting on applied in consideration around pier wave passage effect bedrock artificial generated, according U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) standard. analysis confirmed that load, effect, generated acceleration bending moment at deck bridge—152% 232% greater than without considering them, respectively. Therefore, order ensure earthquake resistance bridge, will be built must considered.
